Hi All,

Question for Employees in other Municipalities: do you have standard drawings for RIRO channelizing island (porkchops) driveways or other limited-access driveway designs ie, RIROLI's and RIROLO's?

Same above for median island designs that limit movements at private driveways - any standard drawings for these?

Question for Designer / Consultants: what guidelines do you use to design limited-access driveways (for example, just TAC or other guidelines)? Did you ever encounter any challenges designing these features that you would like to discuss? An example might be designing to accommodate large trucks without rendering the channelization ineffective for small cars due to the larger geometry. 

Question for all: where a median island is used to limit movements, especially lefts-in, how far do you recommend extending the median island beyond the driveway limits to discourage u-turns?
